Banque du Caire enters into an exclusive partnership with "Cashless Plus" to pay government payments electronically

Banque Du Caire entered into an exclusive partnership with the “Cashless Plus” company specialized in banking services and electronic payments. According to this partnership, the bank is unique in having an exclusive presence within the traffic units in cooperation with the company and making the “Meeza” Cairo OPLUS card available with the aim of reducing the burden on citizens in paying their government and traffic financial payments. These include paying fines for violations, driving licenses and vehicles, and activating the electronic collection of compulsory insurance documents through the company’s representatives, in addition to the advantages offered by the card for using it in electronic shopping operations and paying purchases in a safe and easy way.

Tarek Fayed, Chairman and CEO of Banque du Caire, confirmed that the signing of this agreement comes in line with the state's policies and directions to expand electronic payment channels, indicating that the card was issued with the aim of facilitating customers in conducting financial transactions, especially government and traffic payment services, in In light of the decision of the Ministry of Finance to use electronic means to pay government service fees, which contributes to the implementation and application of the financial inclusion plan and the transformation of a digital, cashless society as one of the goals of the sustainable development strategy in accordance with Egypt’s Vision 2030. Fayed continued that the “Cairo OPLUS” card has many advantages, most notably the activation The card is fed in real time in the locations of the company’s outlets and representatives, with the possibility of using it in shopping operations at all commercial outlets throughout the Republic, in addition to the possibility of using the card to carry out online shopping operations locally safely and quickly, and to send text messages immediately on transactions that take place using the card. .

In the same context, Hazem Hegazy, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, indicated that issuing the card is a continuation of Banque du Caire's role in the field of electronic payment services, as the bank offers many electronic services to customers, most notably internet and mobile banking services for companies and individuals, and the mobile phone wallet «Cairo Cash». Electronic payment services via the QR Code, and other electronic banking services offered by the bank to meet the needs of its customers.

For his part, Hisham El-Sayed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of “Cashless Plus”, expressed his pride in the partnership with a banking institution the size of “Banque du Caire”, explaining that the goal of the partnership with Banque du Caire is to enhance the use and dependence of the Egyptian citizen on the Meeza card to expand electronic payment for payments, whether government fees or purchases. .

The bank stated that customers can obtain the “Cairo OPLUS” card with the special national number card, through the outlets of the “Cashless Plus” company located throughout the Republic, and the “Cairo OPLUS” card can be fed through the ATMs of Banque du Caire that accept deposits. Or by transferring from the personal account at Banque du Caire with a direct debit card to the “Cairo OPLUS” card, or through Banque du Caire branches located in various governorates of the Republic.
